Q. Can I buy your products?
A. Gellifique LTD supplies its products to fully qualified nail technicians, nail technicians in training, nail schools, qualified educators, salon owners, suppliers and wholesale buyers specializing in professional product distribution.
Q. How do I create an account?
A. Please follow this link Register and fill out all the sections. Please pay attention when inputting your contact details in order to ensure a smooth delivery process. Don’t forget to tick all the boxes, including “terms and conditions”.
Q. How do I register as a professional?
A. To register as a professional please first create an account with us and then email over a copy of your certificate which confirms your training or an equivalent document which demonstrates that you are a professional involved in the beauty industry i.e. own a salon and employ qualified nail technicians.
Q. How will I know when I have been added to the “Pro Network”
A. You will receive a confirmation email from us and all the prices on your screen will appear reduced (please make sure you are logged in)
Q. What are the ways in which I can search for a product?
A. You can search for a product in a couple of ways either using our search bar at the top of the page, you can see a list of all our products on the main page or you can sort products. Y clicking on the colour buttons at the top of the shop page. Once you have clicked on a colour, that colour will remain in the search until you untick the colour box. You also can search using the various options of the left such as pigment, colour, consistency and viscosity.
ORDER TRACKING & DELIVERY
Q. Where is my order?
A. You can see the progress of your order with the tracking number which you will be able to view in your account once you have placed your order. Please allow 3- 5 working days for delivery.
Q. I am experiencing issues with delivery how can you help?
A. All orders are passed to couriers of your selected delivery service; My Hermes, DPD or DHL. Occasionally delivery issues may arise which are outside of our control. These issues may be sickness or accident involving the courier, errors in the shipping agent’s systems or local operating hours. If we are contacted by our customers regarding a delivery issue we get in touch with the courier within a 24 hour period. Normally the shipping agent will need an additional 24-48 hours to investigate the issue and get back to us. If the package is lost we will issue a refund. However, if the package has been returned to us as a result of the courier not being able to deliver it i.e. “failure to deliver on three occasions” there is nothing we can do to stop that from happening. In the latter case, the customer will need to wait until the items are returned back to us and if another dispatch in requested cover the delivery charge. In any case please rest assured we strive to solve any issues with our customer’s best interest in mind.
Q. My order did not arrive?
A. Please check the status of your order with the provided tracking number. The courier will upload any updates it may have regarding your shipment. If you need further help from us please get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org
Q. My order is damaged/item is broken
A. Please email a photo and video of the broken item as we will need to keep these on file. If your items have arrived broken we will try our best to replace these free of charge (subject to availability) however, the shipping fee will need to be covered by the receiver.

PRODUCT COMPOSITION & SAFETY
Q. Where can I find the ingredient list and application guides?
A. Both of the above elements can be found in the description section of each product. The ingredients are also listed on the label on the back of each product.
Q. Are your products VEGAN?
A. Yes, our products do not contain animal or animal-derived ingredients.
Q. Are your products HEMA free?
A. Our latest range of products is HEMA free (these products are marked “HEMA free” in the description) The older range of colours is not.
Q. Are your products Cruelty-Free?
A. Yes, Gellifique finished products are not tested on animals and as part of the good manufacturing practice, we have a written declaration from our manufacturing plant that it has not commissioned any animal testing on finished products, their prototypes or any of the ingredients on its finished products or their prototypes.
Q. Are your products tested?
A. Yes, every product goes through vigorous testing by an independent laboratory that specialises in nail products. They test that all the ingredients that are listed in the product are correct and are also in the right quantities. This is how we form our SDS (safety data sheets)
Q. Are your products safe?
A. Yes, Gellifique invests heavily in obtaining all the correct certification for its products. Our products are shipped internationally and our shipping agents require all the paperwork on the safety of the products being transported. Furthermore, toxicological profiles of the ingredients in the formulation along with other assessments are completed here at a UK based laboratory.
Q. What is apex gel?
A. Apex gel is our version of a bottle builder gel. This gel can be used to create short, sculpted nail extensions of up to 1.5cm in length when used with our rubber base coat. Apex gel gives a strong yet flexible nail enhancement that wears like a hard gel and is removed by filing away bulk and then soaking.
Q. What is the difference between Apex gel and Apex gel 2in1?
A. Apex gel 2in1 is our natural nail enhancer. This product comes in a variety of shades and is for the natural nail only. It acts as a nail strengthener and can be infilled like our apex gel but is too soft to build an extension. You can, however, build with this product depending on the level of strength you need and we recommend also using this product with a base coat for ultimate adhesion and optimum results.
Q. What products are best suited for weak bendy nails?
A. The best products for weak nails would be anything that promotes strength. These can be any of our "structure" products, for example, we have our ultra seal product that can be layered over your cured colour and before your top coat, this limits the flex in the natural. All for clients who have really soft bendy nails that don't want any nail enhancing. We also have our Apex 2in1 for natural nail enhancement for the client that wants to grow their nails out naturally. Then if you wish to use a stronger range of products then we have our Apex gel, soak off hard builder in a pot and our Acrylic gel. All of which can create nail enhancements as well as being used as a natural nail overlay. So there are various options available.
Q. What's the difference between Microcrystal Top Coat and Armour Top Coat?
A. Both top coats are super shiny, tack-free and are scratch-resistant, however, our Armour top coat as the name suggests is that bit stronger giving your clients more protection to chipping if they are more "hands-on". Both contain our Microcrystal technology which gives both top coats superior strength and resilience.
Q. What is rubber base?
A. Rubber base is our ultimate base coat specially made to give maximum adhesion, strength and durability with self-levelling properties for clients with any imperfections on the nail plate ie dips or ridges. We recommend using this base coat with all enhancement systems due to its excellent adhesion. You can also build slightly on the natural nail for added strength.
Q. What is a Rubber Top Coat?
A. Rubber top coat is a thicker top coat used for added strength and is perfect for encapsulating anything from glitter, foil and nail art to adhering crystals. This top coat is also super shiny and tack-free.
Q. What is the Ultra Seal Gel?
A. Ultra seal is a must-have in any nail techs kit. It is a go-to for most clients needing extra strength and longevity of their gel polish manicure. Used as an optional additional layer over your cured colour coat and before your top coat of choice. This product prevents too much flex in the natural nail meaning that clients gel is less likely to chip if the client's nails are immersed in water or have naturally flexible nails.

Q. Why am I getting a heat spike?
A. A heat spike or an exothermic reaction occurs during the curing process of all gel-based and acrylic based products. This is caused by a chemical reaction as the molecules begin to shrink and harden giving off heat as they rush around on the surface of the nail plate. This heat spike occurs when there is either a large amount of product on the nail ie when building a nail enhancement or if a product has a high percentage of acrylates within it. We always recommend applying product either in stages and in thinner layers or using the low heat mode when building any nail enhancement or any strength. You can also get your client to keep their hand outside the lamp but still remaining in the light until they become used to the sensation. As you get to know your clients you will know how to work with them and how to make the process more comfortable for them. Heat spikes are a normal occurrence with all nail brands and is a normal sensation when using these types of light-curing products.
Q. What can I do to prevent getting a heat spike?
A. There are a few options that you can do to minimise a heat spike. You can either use a low heat mode lamp which cures the gel over a longer period of time starting on a low UV setting and building up the strength of uv light, apply the product in thinner layers and in stages or you can place your client's hand in front of the lamp when on, making sure they are still in the light but getting a lower emission of uv light. This will slow down the curing process meaning the speed at which the product cures will be slower and therefore less heat as part of the chemical reaction that cures gel products.

Q. What is the curing time for your products?
A. All our products are tested to cure in 30 seconds in a minimum 48w lamp however we recommend 60second cure as not all lamps are equal and also depends on how thickly the products have been applied. 60 seconds will give you peace of mind that the product has had a thorough cure. If you are using a lamp that you have purchased elsewhere, make sure you check with the manufacturer the quality of the bulbs and the bulb life. Some lamps that are cheaper may need to be changed yearly to keep the strength of the UV light that is needed to give a proper cure.
Q. Can I use your gels with other brand's products?
A. We don't recommend using our gels with other top and base coats, however, we have nothing against using our gel products on top of a finished and filed nail enhancement in acrylic or gel if you prefer an alternative enhancement brand. As long as our gel is topped with our own top coat then there shouldn't be any problems although we always recommend using a complete system to get the best results otherwise we can't guarantee the longevity.
Q. What is the architect gel used for?
A. Our architect gels are basically highly pigmented gel that has been specially formulated to form a string like structure to create perfectly straight lines on a nail. This is very much a trend lead product and can be used in all sorts of ways to create beautiful and subtle nail art. This is available in both black and white shades.
Q. What are the painting gels used for?
A. Our painting gels come in a 15ml size and are highly pigmented for intricate and precise artwork that needs a depth of colour. They come In black and white shades but will be expanding this in the future. Please make sure you stir this gel thoroughly to make sure the pigment is blended well in the gel formula.
Q. What are the foil gels used for?
A. Our foil gels are highly pigmented gels with foil particles within them. They are a thicker consistency and so can't be used in a bottle form. You can use these for art in a similar way to our painting gels or you can do a full coverage nail using a gel brush. This product comes in gold, silver and rose gold and are also 15ml. Please note that the gold and silver have larger foil particles and the rose gold is much smoother.
Q. Do you manufacture branded UV/LED lamps?
A. No, we do not manufacture branded accessories at the moment as our R&D focus is on UV/LED gel. Our products can be cured with a responsibly purchased and maintained in good condition 48W UV/LED lamp.
Q. How do I know if your product will cure with my UV/LED lamp?
A. During the manufacturing process, all of our products are tested using the lowest possible emissions of UV/LED light. However, due to the fact that our gel polishes are very pigmented and thicker in texture, we recommend using a UV/LED lamp of at least 48W to ensure that the gel cures quickly and without sliding, bubbling etc, Therefore, it is our recommendation to purchase your lamp from a reliable supplier and to maintain it in top condition i.e. by replacing bulbs when necessary, etc
